My son is moving 2hrs away from us. My only child. I’m bummed. His mother is Devastated!
When he moved out of the family home, he left a knock-off beattle bass and a BA Dean 5 string. Which he hasn’t mentioned or even looked at since then.
This time he dropped of this peavey and orange amp for safe keeping.
His wife said he hasn’t touched them, and the next time they move she is going to bring me his P bass if he hasn’t touched it.
I’m bummed he hasn’t been playing. I love his musical side. But they’re safe here!
Probably a new set of strings on the peavey this Sunday.

I have one son in California with the grandkids and one son in NYC with a dog. I don’t see the grandkids as often as I’d like. My son in NYC hasn’t cut the apron strings. Fortunately I like his dog.

Don't take over the room too quickly. Things could change real fast!

My step daughter has been influencing her children with musical instruments for many years now. It is wonderful to watch, but sometimes they get interested in other things and then return to an instrument of one sort or the other eventually. Preserve that gear for your son. He’ll be back for them.

Oh they did once. After he was on his own about a year I heard through the community he was living in his truck. With his new wife.
I had already turned his room into a gym. But we brought them back in. They got focused. Now he has a great job with incredible benefits. Actually that’s why they’re moving. His company needs him in a different county. Hate to see them go. And their dogs.
