I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, a parent shouldn't lay a child to rest.

Here's a fitting song and with a translation to what it says. I even went as far as to making the lyrics rhyme

It is about a Son confronting his father, assuring him that despite their differences, all is not lost, he'll be okay.

    Doe Maar - Pa

    Look at you sitting there
    White streaks in your hair.
    Wrinkels on your hands
    As friendly and soft spoken
    an unexpected token
You've changed to fit your plans

I didn't become what you wanted me to be
But please dad, listen to me
I always do what I do
By running into it eyes closed.

    You had so much plans
But I never gave a damn
I'm not going to run a race
Never learned any from a book
Trouble was all that it took
Relationships are not the first place.

    I'm not following the queu
I'll fight for when my freedom is due
And run right into things with my eyes closed

    Button your coat up
    Wear a necktie
    Wash your hands
    Comb your hair
    Don't sag your shoulders
Don't forget to brush your teeth
    stop hanging around strange places
    Go right home
    Answer with two words
    Introduce yourself nicely
    Behave during dinner
    And ADDRESS PEOPLE FORMALLY!

I stand here and I sing
    always do my own thing
    You have to accept that.
    Dad can't you see
it's not too late for me
I'll learn to follow my own path.

    I don't know yet where I stand
    Don't follow others' plans
And I always do what I do
By running into it eyes closed.

    Button your coat up
    Wear a necktie
    Wash your hands
    Comb your hair
    Don't sag your shoulders
Don't forget to brush your teeth
    stop hanging around strange places
    Go right home
    Answer with two words
    Introduce yourself nicely
    Behave during dinner
    And ADDRESS PEOPLE FORMALLY!

    Toto's Dad,

We've had our differences over our dogs but I'm very sorry to read about your son. Of all the people here, I'm one of the very few that can empathize with you... I lost my son 9 years ago. I know what you're feeling... and it hurts. Take care of yourself!
