My Partsquire wound up being the one!

Maybe just luck. I own a few vintage guitars. A few Custom shop guitars and two Parts guitars. This Parstsquire is made from an MJT body and an older mid 2000's Fender American Standard neck. Pickup is a Cavalier Fat Lion. Harness I got off of Reverb with Eldred mod. It has Bensonite aged brass saddles. All the other parts are Fender that I had lying around. This guitar turned out to be the one I play more than any others and it just sounds great through every amp and every pedal. It's crazy and had to just be luck that all the parts worked so well together. Not a ton of money and sounds and plays better than guitars 5 times its cost. The best part is I think it looks pretty cool too.

Congrats! Nice to hear that you have YOUR guitar. After years of cobbling various partscasters together with whatever parts I could scrounge, I finally took the time to spec out everything I wanted in a tele.

That was 20 years ago! It not only became my #1 as soon as I strung it up, (and still remains so) it sent several very sweet vintage guitars down the road.

I don't have "the one" because I have a bunch I like to play, including 4 partsguitars.

I do love my 2 Esquires I put together.

Congrats man! I love it when that happens! I had that same experience when I built my 51 Nocaster. She's my #1 guitar today. I also had the same luck with my 54 Strat, and my 59 ES-335 In fact, I'm seriously considering selling all my other guitars and keeping only the ones I've built. It really matters to do the job right and use quality parts in a build.

I buy factory guitars and end up playing the ones that I've done exactly the way I like them. Wide nut, fat neck, light weight, good pickups, laquer.
