What should I do about the sides?

  1. Light/Dark blue burst

    81.8%
  2. White burst

    9.1%
  3. Natural

    9.1%

    Hey guys!

I joined up a few months ago and mentioned that I'm working on building a Paisley Tele. Well... it's reeeeally close to done! All that's really left to do is a little bit of clean up on the body, and paint, clear coat, assembly!

I've got progress photos https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10200341286438271.1073741826.1337916410&type=1&l=808fcc5d62 For those interested.

If you just wanna get the gist, I'll add some random shots here as well.

    Specs:

    Flamed Maple neck,
    Striped Ebony fingerboard,
    2 piece Ash body,
    25" scale length,
    6149 Frets,
Flamed Maple and Flamed Oak inlay dots,
    Double bound top and back,
    Comfort cuts,
Wilkinson Bridge w/ compensated Brass Sadles,
DiMarzio Vintage Mini Humbucker for the neck,
    DiMarzio Area-T Tele bridge pickup,
    Grover tuners.

I'm also contemplating shipping this guy off to Glaser or somewhere similar to make it into a bender!

I'll make sure to update once I paint it, which should be happening in the next couple of weeks.

Also, I'm looking for input from other Paisley Tele enthusiasts.

I'm trying to come up with ideas for the sides:

-do a light/dark blue burst, similar to a traditional paisley
    -a white burst
-leave it natural and make it look very clean

    Ideas? Poll it!

Almost forgot this one. Here's a mockup of how it looks with the neck on the body.

Hmm, not sure what you mean by "sides"
Do you mean the edges of the paisley top and back?

Yeah, like the actual sides of the guitar, where it's just natural ash.

Fender just bursted a similar color around the sides to cover the seams. I decided to use Binding to do the same thing, but I'm still thinking of using a color as well, because I'm not sure how I feel about natural wood sides on it.
