The only thing that "might" bother me would be the point at the back where the forearm bevel would be.
I'd be concerned it might catch on my funny-bone area, but I'd really have to play it (both sitting and standing) to tell.
Putting the forearm contour would mess with the binding and your idea of straightforward construction, though.
