Agree with the posts about the '60s look. It kinda reminds me of a cross between the Flintstones and the Jetsons. I kinda like the shape.

Design is a very subjective thing in the end, also - there are strong stereotypes out there, which have been there forever. What matters more in my opinion, if you, as the end user like it and if the handling is easy (think shape does not get into way, controls are findable and intuitive, balance is right).

Trying to be constructive, just from the pictures, I'd probably consider myself the following:
    1. Are the upper horns supporting the forearm and ribcage without feeling sharp or poky?
    2. Is the balance good while seating and standing? (thinking about the center of gravity, as the body looks, at least in puctures, larger and maybe heavier than an ordinary guitar)
    3. What you would improve in the next iteration, if you where to do it again? :)

Other than that, congrats on a finished build! And enjoy the instrument! :)

    I like it well enough!

But I'd say any moving forward guitar should not restrict access to the upper frets, which means the cutaway needs to be deeper than the highest fret, in order for any and all players to play barre chords up as high as they like.

I think too many players just don't think in terms of all ways of using a guitar, so they design for their own playing style and lose all the customers who play in more modern ways.
The old thinking that suggests there ain't no money above the fifth fret, and frowns on shredder oriented players, seems to often assume only those dumb kids think they need full access to the entire fretboard, not just for a couple of fingers at an angle, but to get their whole hand up there.

Of course one may choose to target retro curmudgeon vintagey players, but here I don't see a need to maintain some visual esthetics like some designs that look funny if the cutaway is moved to improve upper fret access

I like it! It has a cool 54' LP/tele/jetson's vibe and the woodworking looks well executed too. I love the L. shaped metal control plate too, and I doubt any engineering class is going to give you a better grade for using matching plastic colors either.

First thing I thought of was The Flintsones. Going by the pics you have done a great job, the workmanship looks superb. Did you make the neck?

IMHO, P90s look pedestrian on that kind of designed body, so you would need radical designed pickups like the Ronin Foilbuckers.

Because of the binding. At first doing the belly and heel contours weren't part of the plan… then saw a video on instagram from Runt guitars from Japan and decided to give it a go.

Very nice. I like the mix of curves with the soft points of the body. Maybe consider a similar mix with the headstock?

Incredible. Did you do all that work around the heel with a chisel? Looks really good.

Wow - that is very cool!
I like the design, it's individual and got great character. (I have had a MusicMan and this is nothing like that!) My only critique is that it's a shame to hide that absolutely beautiful wood on the back... great job!
