Just got a new American standard and I love almost everything about the tele. I am not crazy about the neck though its a little chunky for my taste now. loved it for the first half hour then switch to my skinny necked mustang for comfort. I used to own a 60s classic tele about 5 years ago and sold it. A decision I regret now. Should have just got another 60s couldn't find one locally and loved the American standard at first. Now I've decided I like vintage frets slimmer necks and 7.25 radius. My question for the experts here at tdpri are: Will a 60s classic neck be an easy swap as far as the size of the neck joint? do any of you 60s classic owners consider the neck as slim? I remember it that way but cant find one locally to play. Am I crazy for wanting to this? Anybody here ever deal with stratosphere parts? Are they factory seconds or do they just break down new guitars and part them out?

American Standard neck is about as skinny as any, Way too skinny for me.

Don't know the answer, but I've been wondering about them too. I hope someone chimes in.

Bought a lot from Stratoshere, great company. I do think the break guitars down, usually I'm against it. But with Stratosphere I see it as a "junk yard" for us who can't leave well enough alone. Alot of the stuff is new also. They ship quickly too.

I have dealt with Stratosphere several times in the last few years. They are a good company to deal with. The stuff I've bought from them, including two necks, have been brand-new Fender products.

I LOVE the Stratosphere and have bought lots of necks and bodies from them. Quality parts and a customer-friendly outfit.
