Bought an old Gibson beater a while back. Finally got it to my guit whisperer to get it up and running.

But the governor just announced a statewide quarantine. So it looks like I won't be seeing the mando for a while.

Silver lining: He'll have time to do a real nice job!

I'm waiting on a PRS Custom 24-08 (ordered back in June) that should have shipped out a week or so ago, but the factory is currently closed. I feel your pain.

Now that's a wait that make me think of the agony we'd feel if we ordered a Henderson acoustic . . .
I thought PRS spit those things out like Snickers bars - all day, every day
Is this something from the special wood library or a send out to the inlay specialist?
    Peace - Deeve

It's just a regular Core model, but I wanted a specific color and neck carve, plus a ten top and hybrid hardware.

Yeah, our only music store shut down. Seems like they could do a scheduled pickup thing, ya know?

I have a rented woodwork room for guitar making where I had a couple of guitars mid setup work, I've had to write those off for a month or two, along with the violin I'd almost finished. I could probably get away with a sneaky run over there - lots of traffic out there from people still working so I doubt I'd be noticed and I can't see there being any risk driving to a lockup and back, but I just think if everyone starts doing things because they can't see the harm it rapidly descends into everyone doing what they want.

I can live with being a couple of guitars down, it's not like I don't have alternatives.

Still waiting on a Duesenberg Tremolo system from France. That could be a long wait.

Okay - but you know the forum rules - when this unicorn arrives, we'll be expecting some pics . . .

Not here. Big fines for doing much of anything besides grocery shopping or going to the doctor.

Tough one. Luthiers aren't essential. I think only 15 or so states are not under a shelter in place order.

Our doctors are closed and the ERs and Urgent Care centers are overloaded. I have relatives in Maine.

Ya, but the instruments that they work on, and the customers that bring them in, are not.

If we can't call luthiers essential, words have no meaning!
