Well the temps have been dropping over the last couple of days and my mother's cat Snoopy has found a way to cope with it.

    Nice and warm.

Is that thing modified to use gas, or is it old-school for wood/coal?

Mine like to sit on the radiator.

It's a wood burning one. My dad always liked that kind of warmth.

I lived in an old farm house outside of Charlottesville, VA that had wood stoves for heat (with oil backup, but we rarely used it). We had a cat named Joker and you could tell the season by where the cat would sleep. In the early fall he'd sleep in the mudroom/laundry and as it got colder he'd move across the kitchen. By mid-winter he'd sleep under the wood stove in the living room. Then as spring came, he'd start his migration back across the kitchen and back to the mud room. In the summer he'd disappear for weeks at a time, coming back for meals now and then. And then as it got cooler, he'd be back to start the cycle again.

Not just that but Snoopy is a girl.

We named her Snoopy because of her way of snooping around to get what she wants.
