So sorry for your loss, I wish you and yours the best as you cope with this.
This is one of those things in life, where the expression "Time heals all wounds" doesn't really apply.
My Mom's been gone for almost 14 years... The hurt definitely dulls over time... But it's still painful, and fairly often I still pick up the phone to call her after I wake up..... It's only when I grab the phone, and realize that it looks nothing like the last cordless phone, that I had her number programmed for speed dial on, that reality kicks me in the nuts again.

It sounds like you had a wonderful Mother that you appreciated, hopefully nothing was left unsaid, even if there was... I like to think they knew it anyway.
My Mom was only 59.... Maybe it would have been easier to deal with if she was 80+... I'll never know.

For those of you lucky enough to have wonderful Mothers that are still around... Keep this is mind.
No matter how many times they call (usually at the worst possible times..right?)
No matter how trivial their banter seems.... You'll wish like hell you could have a "do-over" for every time you blew her off, because something really "important" took precedence... Like Sports Center, or intonating your guitar!

I know I do at least.

I'm so sorry. I feel the same way about my mum and I don't know how I will handle it when the time comes. Best wishes for you and your family.

At 42, I was too young to understand. Hope this marvelous song/performance helps, somehow.

The saddest of all news, in some ways.

My Mom passed three years ago now & as tears stream down my face I realize how much I will always miss her.

My most sincere condolences to you, my friend, and your family.
