Removed the 210 baffle and put a pine baffle and a Celestion G12h in it. Amp sounds like night and day. Now it’s gig worthy. I am going to put a back panel on tomorrow to cover the tubes. And she’s all set. Best thing you can do to these amps in my humble opinion.

I had a Peavey Delta Blues and loved the sound, BUT it was scary to bring to gigs. If you so much as gave it a dirty look, you’d knock the tubes loose.
Covering the back is a great idea.

I've got a tube cage like this one on my db210. Just the cage, no tamer.

Take any pics of the new baffle?

A friend of mine had A Peavey back in the late 80's, can't remember if it was a "Delta Blues" or a "Blues Classic", but I remember it had 1 - 12" speaker in it and Tweed tolex cover. Had a fantastic tone to it for classic rock or blues.

I put a DIY cage across the back of mine with a piece of 12 gauge perforated steel. It does the job nicely.

That grill cloth makes the amp look like it should be smoking a cigarette outside a casino. I love the mods and look. Never heard that circuit through another speaker.

Does your band do Dylan's "Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat?"
