After a long wait (A year and 1/2) my Rick Kelly Tele came in a few weeks ago. I would have posted sooner, but that would have required that I put it down long enough to actually make a post. Also, one of my bands has a new record I've been working on, www.facebook.com/JulianPrimeauxandhisRoyalRowdyCompany , so that's been taking up a ton of my time. Anyways, it was WELL worth the wait! I can't stress that enough! It is a truly remarkable guitar. It has Don Mare Hayride pickups, a Callaham bridge with three-barrel compensated brass saddles, a 100 year old swamp ash body and a 100 year old Fatback maple neck. It's ridiculously light and weighs next to nothing. It is super resonant, has rich harmonics and is very loud acoustically. It plays like a dream and the sound is So lush with absolutely no ice-picking. Played through my Valvetech Hayseed 30 with Celestion Blues, it's tonal bliss! I sound like a jerk who's bragging, but I'm trying to commend Don Mare and Rick Kelly for their fabulous work!
