You're doing wonderful, shinyphil!!!! I've had 10 surgeries now myself for cancer and go in for more tests in a couple of weeks. I consider myself truly fortunate, though I have similar med side effects to yours. It doesn't matter...I'm here, you're here. All is good. All the best with your current treatment plan and you've got my hopes and prayers for every good thing!

This good. You're beating the odds on life expectancy, maybe there'll be a way to beat the odds on the 'function' issue as well. Best wishes.

Keeping that positive attitude will take you a long way. Who knows what advances in cancer treatment will be found in the next few years.
In the meantime enjoy life to the fullest that you are able.

My cousin was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at 18 years old, he was given a year at most, thirty years later he succumbed to it. Hang in there, the human body can work wonders

Having had prostate cancer and subsequent prostatectomy, I’m familiar with some of what you’re talking about. It sucks. So glad things seem to be going your way. Hoping for many more happy days ahead.

I'll be thinking of you @shiny as I keep @idjster in mind. My mother in law is in a scenario considered terminal but she's not quitting. Friday my wife passed 5 years. My thoughts are always there and I'm always inspired by those I know with such good attitudes. Good luck!

Cancer isn’t as predictable as a lot of folks think it is, and there are always surprises - both welcome and unwelcome. Anyway, life is a terminal condition, and I hope your terminus continues to recede.

Prayers and thoughts on the way ! Two years is probably sounding like million bucks but I bet you'll have many more and each year brings new treatment and hope ! Hang it there !
