Last October my life expectancy was a couple of months. Might see Xmas 2020. Things are much better now. The cancer specialist has me on a hormone treatment that. suppresses the manufacture of testosterone. My PSA is below 2.75 & hopefully will continue to fall. My life expectancy is now 2 years, may be more. An irony. I have hot flushes, cold shakes & itchy feet that can drive you crazy. Some of the symptoms of a female change of life - menopause. The side effects are almost removed by taking a daily table MENOXYPROGESTERONE. All this makes me a EUNUCH, fully equipped & totally non--functional. That to me is an perfect IRONY. Or may a chuckle.

The side effects of your treatment aren’t any fun, but I am guessing the side effect of no treatment is even less enjoyable.

Hang in there, brother—good vibes being sent your way!

Keep fighting that difficult fight. My wife's brother was just diagnosed, and it's not looking good. Hearing positive stories helps to reconcile bad news going forward.

    Best of luck to you.

My uncle lived 12 years after his initial "you only have a few months" diagnosis. He gigged 3 days a week playing jazz piano during that time.

I wish you all the best and many, many years to come! Keep up the faith and struggle that beast.

I was diagnosed cancer on my 23rd birthday. A good age to catch one. Still kickin’ after +20 years.

My wife has been dealing with Cancer for a year went from curable to manageable. The last scans look really good. keeping up a positive attitude is very important trying to keep your mind off it is also very important (hard to do) but she working from home like everyone else in her office she is probably averaging 50 hours a week so that keeps her busy. What’s really important the advancements are coming so fast it’s amazing lot of trials going on. My wife was up for one but they decided against it because she was doing fine with her treatments. You just have to not give up hope be positive
