At short notice I was asked to play with a visiting rockabilly band , whose guitarist was sick. Due to weather problems they didnt arrive until 20 mins before the started the show. I only recognized a couple of songs so they gave me a count in on each tune and the key.

It was chaotic but we kept the crowd dancing....

52 RI > way huge aqua puss > DRRI and attitude carries you a long way.....

Interesting way to spend a sunday evening

I dont look the part unlike the rest of the bar.

I overcame the problems but by playing mystery train for two hours in a variety of keys and tempos.

    It kept them dancing

To be fair they were a very friendly crowd. They love the live style and clothing though. In comparison i looked like the target in a wheres waldo poster

Apparently the clothes ARE very important. Once I answered a craigslist ad posted by a "rockabilly" singer who wanted to start a band. Immediately he started asking me about my clothes and tattoos.

WTF thats weird, i guess clothes make the man, and appearance is a huge tell about someone's lifestyle..
