I've owned hundreds of MIM an Squiers but never a USA Fender Telecaster. Until today. I drove up to Sweetwater to take possession of the last LPB/Rosewood one they had, and it has an almost unnoticeable factory finish flaw so I got it a couple hundred off. Love the Texas Specials.

Nothing as nice as an American Tele. Love that color too.

The OP made it sound like the Am. Specials aren't gonna use rosewood anymore. Only the MIM Fenders and Squiers are using alternatives to rosewood. The Am.Specials, Am. Pros and Am. Originals are still going to be available with rosewood. The only American line which has changed is the Elite series, which has gone to ebony instead of rosewood.

Nice. That's identical to my daughter's.

How do you like the jumbo frets? I like them, but I know a lot of people don't get along with them.

Yes I amended my OP to rosewood. For some reason I thought all guitars were going to Pau Ferro now, just not paying attention I suppose.

I recently bought an American Special in 3 color sunburst with a maple neck. Upgraded to Callaham compensated brass bridge. I absolutely love this guitar.

    Congrats. It's a Beauty.
