I always loved Cornell Dupree's work especially in "The Gadd Gang". (Great drummer too.....) Look for "Signed, Sealed, Deliveted" and 'Watchin' The River Flow' on YT

The guitar was actually not a Tele.... Yamaha Pacifica modified with the addition of a humbucker.

I almost bought one when I was looking for my first Tele... actually couldn't find one.

BTW - how did I leave out Brent Mason?

Yes, definitely Brent Mason and Pete Anderson for me along with a host of others that inspire me. And since I love and play alot of blues.....Albert Collins

Come on now. Dupree did play a Pacifica later in his career, but those guitars didn't even exist until the '90s. Dupree had a three decade long career, mostly playing a Fender Telecaster, before then.

Actually, I hadn't considered that; point well taken. I was thinking of live performances of 'Watchin' The River Flow" and " Signed, Sealed, Delivered" with The Gadd Gang. I'll check the dates on those.
