So sorry for your loss.
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Because of your post, I just listened to "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran for the first time ever. I can see why the service got emotional.
Thank you all so very much for all the kind words and comments.
It's a great comfort to me and very healing energy.
I've never appreciated this forum as much as I do right now. And you've always meant a great deal to me.
Very sorry for your loss. Ya done real good for your people.
Sorry for you and your family’s loss.
You did a really good thing. I’m proud of you and don’t even know you.
My condolences and I wish you luck.
My own experience with the death of my father-in-law was life-changing and not in a good way. I hope your wife copes better than mine did.
So sorry for your loss. Where did Colonel Rodriguez serve?

Wow, am sorry for your loss, I might be facing the same situation soon, my FIL is not doing well... dementia, he won’t eat, just wants to sleep, and gets pissed off at everything when he might be awakw...we can’t have birthdays, holidays, etc at our house because our dogs, good dogs, piss him off...am a feared he’s on the downward slope, it’s hard to deal with. My MIL is A and O x 4, she’s beside herself...getting old sucks, sometimes

Please accept my condolences.
My father-in-law was a very good man and I still miss him very much. He died in 2007.
It's hard to lose someone you love, and really hard to play a special song for their service. Looking back you will be glad you did it.
Condolences for your loss. Your story was inspiring and a fitting tribute to your father in law.
Sorry for your loss
Condolences. I respect you for playing in that circumstance.
So,sorry for your loss. Prayers for peace sent to you and your family.
He was a Fighter Pilot. A7 in Vietnam, A10's later. Ground support for the grunts. He was that kind of force for his family. You always knew whatever trouble you might find yourself in, he was circling above, ready to bring that Big Gun in to waste any bad guys around you.
Then Berlin, intelligence work we obviously don't know a lot about. Diplomatic posts in Bonn. A squadron in England, my wife had the classic military brat upbringing.
Join the Air Force and see the world..
Beautiful sentiment about ‘circling above.’ Sorry for your loss. His and hers Air Force vets (she did the full bid) here send our condolences to you and yours. My own father in law died in 2004 and had significant military exploits fighting Mugabe. We played his favorite Shadows instrumental (Apache, somehow) at his remembrance and I was just thankful it obviated me being asked me to play or sing; wouldn’t have made it. Exceedingly gracious of you to fulfill that request, sounds like it was quite the experience for everyone.
RIP Colonel Rodriguez
