I'm going to need another drink, because I just threw up into this one.

    Love it .

    I get them.

The Antigua part I don’t find offensive .

But a bolt-on semi hollow with horrible pick ups?

For the money that those go for?

There’s literally dozens of other similar guitars that are better than those things for a fraction of that price.

I love how in the ad the seller says, "The highly sought after Antigua finish"......
    ....not by ME, buddy! ;)

Somehow I knew before I opened the link that it would be antigua. It's like a visually rendered fart.

Now that is one ugly guitar.
Back in the day, i.e. 1968, I lusted for that model guitar, but not that particular color. Bought an SG instead.

I'd buy it as a collectable but only at 10% that price.

I guess there are people now that think the Fender semi-hollow offerings are wonderful. Nah, can't be.

Fender semi-hollows are never, EVER serious considerations when I encounter them. My inner voice warns me to stay far, far away. To me they scream "Sears catalog", and "Proudly made in... Chicago". It's like an extreme, outlier graph point at the intersection of "Fender semi-hollow" and "Antigua, the most disgusting and mucous-like guitar finish ever."

If you've ever known a sh*t-eating dog who ate too much of it plus a dead bird and then vomited it up after retching for a half hour - that's this guitar. ( yes, that's real and it's INCREDIBLY nasty to clean out of a carpet, it's best to let it dry and then chip it out. Or burn the house down. )

It was ugly then, and it's ugly now. Some poor schmuck is going to end up with that guitar and need to be talked off the ledge. Crisis hot-lines in the Bay Area should prepare for this.

Man, that is harsh, I am sorry about that. I think the Antigua made me do it.

Ouch, I should have figured that you were warning us. If only it was another color, it might be worthy to hang on a wall for a fraction of what they are asking for it, but worthless as a player.

Odd; the thinline tele is a desirable guitar and popular among pros. That hollowbody, how could Fender be so far off the mark?
Well, it WAS their first attempt....they must have learned something and dropped the coronado but kept the thinline going.

You show a complete lack of understanding of California culture. Someone in San Francisco will buy it, they will do a video of that with the human droppings on the street behind it while a guy plays the guitar in a band, the video will become a huge success, a company will open building these guitars and use material at hand to color it. (matches perfectly) Rappers will write songs about the video, it will spread to Oakland where everyone will want one! In two years you won't be able to walk into a Guitar Center where you live without seeing fifteen of them hanging up when you walk in the door! Enjoy!

I had a Coronado Wildwood in butt-ugly stained green. Every bit as repulsive as this Antigua. The operative word here is HAD. I can't remember how I got it in the first place.

That input jack drops it to a grand in my book. No likey that part. I'd buy it for 500.00 or a swap for my tires off my Jeep.
