We were at friends yesterday. They have three fairly well behaved dogs about her size just a little bigger. Finally just before dinner was served she presented herself in the manner where she's commincating a desire. My wife knew right away she'd had enough dog fun. Since were just around the corner I drove her home. She leapt for the car door as soon as I pulled into the driveway.

Took our two year old "puppy" so to her new "cousin". My nephew got a rescue puppy that was probably about six months old. The first time I saw how much energy was required to actually tire our dog out. Let's just say I couldn't run around like that for five minutes, let alone a couple of hours.

Just back from our annual reunion in Chicago. Home of my nephew with a stone patio and pool out back. He owns an Austalian Shepherd named Bowie. Twenty nine people attended this year. Bowie was beloved by all and was running and jumping all over the place in 90 degree heat. He was having a ball and barking at people paying ball in the pool. Lots of fun. The next day he was limping. Went to vets and his poor pads were wore down from all the running and jumping. Got some salve, booties and meds to cool his jets. He is recovering nicely.

That's happened a few times, especially if there are several small and vivacious Doggies running around.

In order to provide Flash, my beloved black Lab, with some water time, starting last summer I've been taking him to a friend's pool. He came up lame once from "dock diving ", which he loves, but it was simple muscle soreness and thank goodness no dysplasia or spinal issue.

Border collie Ava doesn't like to swim (although she got in the tanning shelf up to her ankles last time. She can't stand for me to be in the water without her.) She runs around the pool with wet feet until her pads are raw unless I monitor her closely.

I haven't taken the new kid Buddy over there yet. I did, however, take him to a mobile vaccination outfit about a month ago. It was hot, and we sat in the truck awhile, but he was a perfect gentleman. Never barked once, was curious about other dogs but didn't approach any, and let several people pet him. I was pretty impressed. He's coming along.

My daughter's dog favorite thing is going to the dog park. But then sometimes her worse thing is going to the dog park.

Her dog looks around for her doggie friends. And if they are there, she runs over and starts to play. If they aren't there she sulks under the bench that the owners sit on and pouts.

It really is hillarious.

my old dog was a work dog and enjoyed other dog 'company' but to a limit. Then, she'd just kind of go into 'guard' mode and checkout. Our lab LOVES everyone and everything and other dogs and being part of everything... of course, if a ball or retrieve toy is anywhere around, he is all about that.

He loves riding in vehicles and wants to go everywhere and does not mind waiting. I have noticed that when less trained dogs or dogs with issues, he senses right away and helps where he can or avoids when he can tell someone is having a bad time.

When he was a puppy, he was attacked while on a walk with my wife by some out of control dogs 5K in vet bills... he does not seem to have any side effects except that when we walk late (off leash) he takes tremendous dumps on their lawn.

My dog hates to be "run up on" without notice and usually acts aggressive towards other dogs. The neighbors had a Saint Bernard named Marshall, and she knew not to be aggressive with him. We joked they were boyfriend and girlfriend.

Pepper, all 12lbs of her is the least aggressive dog in the world. She’ll play rough with me but that’s about it.
