my prays go out to you and your family
Your dad gets my vote.
Anyone who comes on a forum full of guitar players
and brags about his influential dad in his life is more
than evidence that dad musta done things right.
Especially for you Dave. Not everyone gets that chance.
Seriously, I know men who have never known either
of their parents and brutal consequences because of
that have taken place.
You are so fortunate to have had your dad by your side
and you by his side. Even though it may seem like
a commonplace scenario, it is rare these days.
Enjoy the characteristics that you and your family
share with your dad. Take a piece of furniture home
with you too!
After the hurt, there will be time to celebrate his life.
I'm so sorry to hear those words, Dave. Even when the end is imminent, still we hope for a comfortable transition.
I've been there, 2008 with my Dad and last year with Mom.
It never goes away for me but having them in my heart, mind & soul makes it a bit easier to deal with. Knowing & loving them for as long as we did makes us some of the fortunate ones!
I'm sorry Dave. I kind of envy the relationship you had with your dad. RIP Jim, and God bless you and your family.
I share the same love and respect for my father, your father sounds like a really great man and I'm sorry for your family's loss. I'll be praying for y'all.
You and your Dad are in my thoughts.
Thoughts and prayers to you and your family, Dave. Sounds like Heaven just got another upgrade. Very touching post.
I'm really sorry to hear that Dave. Sleep tight James
I bloody well hope you DON'T say that. What a terrible thing to say to children. What will they be feeling when he does die?
And best wishes to Daveo's dad.
