Man, I sure hope that you can get there in time.

My Pops died in his own bed in 2007 under the care of the most wonderful hospice nurses. I tried to get as many of his friends in to say goodbye and was pretty successful at that. He breathed his last in my arms and as tough as that was, I have to count that as a blessing.

Ya know what? I think I need to kick some things up a notch these days 'cause I know that's what the old man would do.

I lost my dad and greatest supporter on Feb. 19 of this year(2013).....he STARTED me on guitar.
It is a tough road.....but when the chips fell, there was grace and closure. He went out fulfilled, and at 86,he said it was okay and cool.So.......it was okay and cool with me.
May you feel that same feeling, and be filled with the great memories and love of your dad.

My Mom is also headed home as we speak. I lost my Dad in '08, my mother-in-law in July and I expect "the call" real soon for my Mom. We went late last night to see her and she was sleeping 28 out of 30 minutes. I will pray for your Dad, you and your whole family.

    Sincerely,
    Rich

    He's gone.

He went about 2 hours ago, with my older brother beside him.

Thanks for all your kind words, guys and girls. I do appreciate them.

I was lucky enough to recognise in my mid 20s that if I was half the man my Dad was I would be a mighty man indeed.

A life well lived. Remember the great times and be happy.

    Peace.
