I purchased back in 2002 a used custom Telecaster with a Tele bridge pickup, Strat center, and a Strat neck pickup. Looking to make it a Nashville style Telecaster any recommendations would be appreciated. I really like this guitar the neck is a birds eye maple beautiful piece of wood and easy to play, just wondering if I only need to change 1 pickup or all 3.

    Thanks in advance,
    Bill

Yep, we need pictures. You only need to swap pickups if you don't like how the existing ones sound. Some people want a Nashville because they like a more "Stratty" sound.

There are no absolute rules, about what makes a Nashville, are there? We think of them as being Teles with lots of pickup combinations and imagine them operating in a studio, or on a Country stage.

Yours sounds like it's pretty much ready to go. If you have the switching and like the sounds you're getting, from the current pickups, I'm not sure if there are any 'essential' mods required.

He's new here, so we should go easy on him.

    Less words...more pics!
