Sincere condolences. Will keep a good thought for for you and the rest of his family and friends. You have taken a tragedy and used it for good. We need to look out for each other. The extreme changes in the weather over recent years will be with us for a while. Checking on friends and neighbors is always a good thing.

Wow, very sad. Sorry for your loss.

Unfortunately this Polar Vortex cold snap that we are experiencing is not normal. It's all about climate change where the air in the north is warmer meaning the temperature differences between the north and south is reduced so there is less air pressure to prevent the cold air in winter from descending farther south past the 49th parallel. Climate change means extreme weather conditions.
    Get used to it!!

That's terrible news. My condolences go out to you and your family. My father-in-law is 90 and lives by himself in the far Northern part of our state several miles from town. His sons live nearby and check on him A LOT. He gets around very well, but anyone can fall at anytime and things can turn bad very quickly. No matter how much we all coax, he's adamant about staying right where he is.

So sorry to hear about your cousin. We’re all vulnerable - especially with the extreme cold temperatures we’ve been having. I’ll be thinking about him and your family.

You think you are fine when you are older and then something happens and you are not fine. My condolences on your loss.

Well founded advise and very sorry for the loss in your family. TDPRI's who have family or friends, in their senior years, please contact them and make sure they are safe and warn them to be very careful as they go about their daily routine. Also, don't forget about others who might have physical limitations.

Yeah, this is what I mean.

A lot of tough guys saying it’s no big deal, or “man up” are forgetting that in this weather if one thing goes wrong, you can die. Even if you’re a studly tough guy. There is no room for error.

Sad news, sorry for your loss.
They make rechargeable heated jackets and pants these days. Something to consider throwing in the car or wearing if you are getting on in years or vulnerable if your car breaks down in freezing conditions etc.
