Jesus. That is considered "closet clean" from MJT? Seems pretty well "aged" to me.

Nah, a ding or two adds character and that beautiful checking- one of the nicest I‘ve ever seen- needs some dings. The lacquer thin like just breathed on.

Wow! I usually only like rosewood or ebony fret boards--but yours looks great.

Beautiful! I love metallics and I love orange, but then I am a Vols fan.

Only last night I decided what colour I am going to respray a body that will be part of an Esquire project (Dauphine Blue and an aged white 'guard(. However, having seen this thread I think I've changed my mind. :) It looks fantastic. I've already modified one of my Classic 50s Teles to be an Esquire to see how I got on with it (and the Eldred mod/variations of it), so I know what you mean about it being 'honest'. I've been playing my 'Esquire' through a 5F1 clone lately...one pickup and one volume control. Certainly makes you focus on how you play.

I love the rounded look of the bakelite guard. I might have to pinch that idea for my avatar Tele too as that has a bakelite guard on it.

SO NOT FAIR...I thought I had my next build all figured out...then I saw this. Love the color and the finish!
