My AV '62: am I asking a fair price?

I am thinking to sell my 2000 American Vintage 62 Custom Telecaster in Ice Blue Metallic finish. It's a nice guitar with some scratches on the body (2 years of tours), but neck and fretboard are perfect.
It is all original, with its vintage hard case and candies. I am asking 1700 euros (I live in Italy) and I surely would accept 1650.
Many people seems to be interested, but so far no one has made offers to purchase it. I thought I had put an adequate price, but evidently I was wrong.
What do you think? the intention is obviously to sell it: I don't want to put a price out of the market, but I don't want to sell it off either
Thanks for reading ;)

Ah... The guitar :)

Hi! I see your price a bit over, not unfair but I think you'll struggle to sell it for that. I'd consider it around 1500€. Here in Spain you can see from time to time AVs under 1500€. I sold a 2012 AV 62 hot rod stray for 1300€ last year without the original pickups

Very nice tele. It's just like my AO 60's tele, but mines Lake Placid Blue.
1700€ ~ $1,800.
There's a guy on CL in our area who's been trying to sell an early 2K tele just like yours for $2,200, it's been listed for over a year. I would consider buying it for around $1,600.
I don't know what your market is like so no advice there.
Check out the prices on Reverb. Search "AO 60's Telecaster" too.

Edit: I don't understand why you would sell yours. I love mine and it will probably be passed on to my kids or grandkids.
Another thing, don't give it away either, it's a REALLY GOOD guitar.

I think your price is reasonable.

The wear probably puts some people off. I reckon you knock a little off the price and it'll move pretty quickly.

That AO is beautiful!
I see your question about the sale, but I have several guitars, and unfortunately, I have to choose which ones to let go.

Thank you all, you’ve confirmed what my initial idea was! Since it’s a rather uncommon instrument, I wasn’t sure about the asking price.

I can't comment on the price since it's so dependant on the market you're in. I have the same guitar (made in 2002) in the same finish. It's one of my favourites. Highly recommended.
