I think that they're both a little too in-your-face. Something a little more off-white, like eggshell, might look a little warmer. Between the two, I prefer the white.

    Very nice tele!

PS: also prefer a 5-hole, single-ply guard for that color combination. It screams 50s.

Plain white on the vintage white body. You might get away with the pearl on a bright colored body, but the traditional look does it for me.
It's really about what makes you happy. They're so easy to swap with split shaft tuners you can play with them.

Both pretty, but pearloid is def more in sync with the gold hardware!

White single ply is classic understated beauty.
White, parchment or light mint WBW adds a little modern touch and goes a little art deco.
    Tort would be my choice.

I'm not a fan of gold but gold begs for Tortise.

I’m not a fan of tort but I think it would look good on an off white guitar with gold hardware.

I love plain white pickguards on white guitars. Probably a Hendrix thing. I would choose plain over pearl.

I don’t love gold hardware, but if you are sticking with that, have you considered a gold pick guard? Might look cool.

I like the one ply white best out of those two. I'd suggest you consider anodized gold aluminum though.

I would go 3-ply white/black/white. I think the black line would break it up, nicely.

Of the two I prefer the white but an aged pearl might be nice with the gold hardware.

Of the 2 I'd go white, but they're both great. The aged pearl would be good choice too.

I'd also like to see what I nice tort looks like on it.

Beautiful guitar!......perfect if you're only going to be playing weddings and royal coronations. ;)
If for "everyday use".....you need to "tone down" that gold and virginal white. I'd say go with as reddish of Tortoise that you can find.
Tort always sounds better too. ;)
