The Office (UK version)- The Christmas special was amazing.

Spirited - an uptight divorcee falls in love with the ghost of a rockstar in her new condo. Too many great episodes to pick my favourite.

Coupling - Hard to say my favourite episode. "The Man With Two Legs" where neurotic Jeff tries chatting up a woman and, trying to cover his nervousness, blurts out he has an artificial leg. "The Girl With Two Breasts" Jeff tries to chat up a woman at the bar and it goes badly. Then he finds out she doesn't speak English. Things don't improve.

Schitt's Creek - in my opinion, very well written and acted. Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy are still at their best.
Because Canadians are genetically predisposed to hating anything we make, this show is probably doomed.

Runners up; Bob Newhart ("More moo goo"), Mary Tyler Moore ("Chuckles The Clown"), WKRP (the Thanksgiving episode), Kath & Kim, The Goodies.

Mad About You had some great episodes (the one where they argue about childhood memories of the museum, the one where they are having a big dinner and they have to sneak a turkey through the apartment because the dog ate the one they made) most were just OK.

Edit: How did I forget Boston Legal? Even for just the inside jokes and breaking the fourth wall.

If the Simpson's can qualify, then my favorites are:

Futurama, Red Dwarf, Big Bang Theory

    This is a tough one...

If we're talking right now, it's really just Big Bang Theory.

If we're talking all time, the list would be WAY longer than just three!

But, if pressed, I'd have to say:

    Mary Tyler Moore
    MASH
    Family Ties
Honorable mention: The Patty Duke Show

...in that order. They're all fairly dated now, but the humor is actually clever and not just based on bodily functions.

I have been watching Wings online a lot. Not that it's an exceptional show. I watched it a lot as a kid, and I like to reminisce about a time when I wasn't working 60 hours a week.

Good choice, so hard to pick three...

On reflection, I should have named "The Addams Family" as one...loved that. I want to be like Gomez!

Bottom - my all-time favourite with the brilliant Rik Mayall. I saw the live show!

The Brittas Empire - with Red Dwarf's superb Chris Barrie as an unintentionally obnoxious but well-meaning Leisure Centre manager. It ran for 7 series - although the first 4 are the best - a real laugh a minute and very quotable in everyday life. A few years ago, I was on holiday on the South Coast of England and saw a photo in a 'what to do brochure' and thought the pool looked familiar. I made a detour and sure enough, it was the actual centre where most of the shooting was done. Amazingly there was nothing to commemorate this! Here's a taster - it's only Part 1 of 3, but seems to 'autoplay' ok to 2 and 3:

Futurama - which I prefer to the Simpsons. Cue sharp intake of breath; Fox cancelled the wrong show!

I'm probably going to ruffle some feathers here - I know this sitcom is a bit of a 'sacred cow'! There's quite rightly a lot of votes for Frasier, but although the best episodes are superb (the one with the gay opera uncle, the hilarious one with Patrick Stewart - the best one of the lot imho, The one with the spa 'La Port 'D'argent', all the ones with the lovely Mercedes Ruhel, the one with Michael Keaton, etc., etc.), and I'm a regular re-run watcher, the bad ones have an odour all of their own. I'm thinking of one episode 'Crock Tales' with the weird wigs, which is abysmal. I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that the series quality nosedived when Niles and the appalling Daphne got together. The later episodes with Ronee are risible - talk about asking an audience to suspend their disbelief!

Every sitcom ever made is basically a rip off of those three shows.

Does anyone remember 'Holmes and Yo-Yo'? - implausibly about a cop whose partner was a clumsy robot! I recall there were more laughs than the average sitcom.

Also, 'Sledgehammer' with David Rasche - pretty good if memory serves.
