I apologize that I haven't posted here in ages; have been very busy with everything else in life.

Here is what originally brought me here:

'69 Tele, '69 Tele Bass and '69 Esquire

Now a family friend has asked me if I'd sell him my '69 Tele. I have acquired over 35 electric guitars,25 acoustics, 20 amps and too many pedals to count.I need to sell of some of this stuff.

This wasn't necessarily the guitar that I was going to start with but since he is asking and it would be kept in the family I might oblige him.( I'm also not playing this guitar regularly).

The question now comes down to what is the going price for an all original '69 Tele in excellent condition with Original case and owners manual?

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Tom

I would want to know if his intentions toward the tele are honorable. If not, I wouldn't let him near it. Maybe sell him a Les Paul or something.

$2000 to $6000 according to ebay. So I say $4000 for a family friend.

Yeah I'd sell off some other gear. That's a special set. Should only be sold as a set IMO

I would keep the '69 Tele and the '69 Esquire as a pair and never part. That's a great pair to see in such beautiful condition. Heck keep the bass too :)

Beautiful trio! I think if it was me, I would be a all or nothing guy on this one. I would either keep all 3 or sell all 3. Weird but I have no grey or balance in areas like this so I'm probably not the guy to ask. But man what a set!!!

I wouldn't sell them at all, I'd leave instructions to my family to only sell them as a set after my death.
