My “Fantasy Supergroup” based on attitude (and talent) would be:

    Drums: Mick Fleetwood
Bass: Jack Casady, and if he’s off on one of his side projects, Lemmy
    Rhythm guitar: Nile Rodgers
Lead guitar: SRV, and if he’s busy, John Cipollina
    Singer (f): Sade
    Singer (m): Jimi Hendrix
    Lyricist: Ian Dury
Somebody we need, just not on every track: Nicky Hopkins

Backstory - there’s no rules (rules aren’t very Rock’n’Roll). Some Fleetwood Mac came up on my (pretty random) playlist, and it struck me, from the moment Fleetwood Mac was formed (‘I Loved Another Woman’, anybody?), and no matter what the other band members were up to, Mick Fleetwood sat up the back and got on with laying down the beat. Never mind the talent, I like that attitude...

With a bit of self-discipline I’m sure I could restrict myself to “fantasy supergroup members” who are still alive! but, for the moment, let’s say anything goes...

I'd love to see this supergroup:

    Lol Tolhurst
    Andy Fletcher
    Bez Berry
    Ben Carr
    Bob Nastanovich

    Instruments optional!

Aye, no doubt. Back in the 60s and 70s, “social distancing” meant “somebody’s slapped a Restraining Order on me”.

Some of these suggestions are amazing. (Also can I add Guitar: JJ Cale to mine).
We could make this happen, you know, the technology is out there...
    All we need is:
    - A CGI budget of, say $50,000,000
    - A legal team the size of the population of Belgium, whatever that is
    - Our own satellite TV channel
+ And a ton of, I’m just going to say “refreshments”

I was thinking they’d get into a fistfight in the parking lot on the way in.

Oh, and I booked Phil Spector to produce their record.

I am going to do a TDPRI search for other mentions of Bob Nastanovich. I bet this is the only one.

    Edit: I made it two.

I think my joke supergroup had too many deep cuts for most TDPRI members, but it's funny to me!
