I just got my MXR 5150 setting for use going into my katana, i'm brand new to pedals...what settings do i use on the amp and how do i set the pedal up? Does anyone have any experience with this setup?
I also bought the MXR Superbadass so once again can someone tell me how to set this up as well?

Turn the knobs until it sounds awesome, for both pedals.
The MXR Superbadass Variac Fuzz works this way, too.

I think they build that feature into all the MXR pedals

No one knows what guitar you have, or what settings on the amp you're using. Besides that, what sounds good is very subjective. It's up to you to experiment to find what works for you.

Here’s a start for basic pedal use with Katana.

it all depends on what sound YOU are after! If you want the pedals to dictate the gain/distortion levels then set the amp to a clean setting. If you want to use the pedals to boost or alter the already distorted sound then set the amp to one of the crunch settings and tailor the pedals to taste.

Also, just plug them all in, and try stuff out! Have fun. you won't hurt the pedals or the amps turning the knobs until something sounds good.
