MW Tele pickguard, cheezy?

What's the general concensus, and potential solutions/replacement options? I saw one on ebay that had an extra screw installed near the bottom of the neck.

Yea, they're cheesy. They seem to warp a little in that area. I'll be damn if I'm gonna put another screw in it. Maybe some 2 way tape. But it really isn't a trade off for the tone that girl got. Let me know the weight of your Muddy. Me thinks a white pearl guard would look good but I don't know nothin' bout no screw patterns. Tele's are still relatively new to me.

All the plastic guards are flimsy. I use AxeGuardz on my Fenders.

You could always get yourself a 5-hole pickguard and drill it for the Muddy Waters 9-hole pattern.
