Does anyone have a better set of instructions for this DIY Tele kit? The instructions with the kit were lame at best and at almost 70, I can't really see what the pictures are trying to tell me what to do. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Bill

Without seeing the instructions you DO have, it's hard to try to do better. Have you tried searching youtube for tutorials?....both for your brand of kit and other kits? Having assembled a Telecaster from parts I've ordered willy-nilly, I understand there are some confusing "order of assembly" steps that you want to clarify. I'm assuming, since it is a kit, all holes are pre-drilled and located correctly. (?) Try youtube, and go slow......stay patient and "deliberate".....you'll do fine. ;)

I guess he has this very "helpful" Muslady instruction sheet below. This came from the booklet included with my headless guitar kit and they were almost completely wrong for it. The Tele kit instructions do seem a bit better but those pictures are tiny and unclear.

To @wahein the Brad Angove videos above should be helpful. If you get stuck, just ask here with specifics. There are a number of good and experienced guitar techs and builders who post here and can help you over the rough spots. And, if it's like my Muslady kit build, there will be plenty of rough spots.

That's awful. I hope this isn't @wahein 's first guitar. There is no way to figure out a lot of essential things from that steaming pile of technical writing.

I would definitely recommend watching some complete walkthroughs on YouTube. The instruction sheet expects some magic to happen between step 1 and TAH DAH!!! FINISHED!!!

It's really not that difficult, but you need to have some understanding of each component that makes up the guitar. This will actually make you a better guitarist.

What about the quality of muslady guitar bodies?

They are incredible cheap on aliexpress.

Is Tonewood good? Is Sycamore acceptable or too soft?

They are currently my favorite bodies, yes they are very light and dent easily but they are routed accurately enough to assemble a nice guitar if you have a nice neck, fender spec parts etc.

The tonewood is good for the money.:D

Didn't someone here say Sycamore is very similar to Paulownia? Paulonia is what I used for my last build, and while it marks and "dents" very easily, it is a very lightweight and nice sounding guitar. It came from GuitarFetish, and the neck pocket fit a Fender-spec neck from Warmoth perfectly.....I had to place and route for the bridge myself. That WAS tricky.

It could be, I think the wood names are interchangeable in china.
My Candlewood strat body seems a lot like my sycamore tele body which might be the same as Paulownia.:)

I just finished one of their Tele kits. Instructions on electronics were pretty bad. Body was good but had to adjust some of the routing to get pickup and saddle to align correctly without interfering with body. Was looking for brighter green but test sample and guitar didnt come out quite same color. Still have some work to do to get rid of fret buzz but all in all a fun first build and a very acceptable result. You may have to search for wiring diagrams or if same I can send what I used on mine.
