I've recently ordered a new Musikraft neck from a luthier in France (still waiting for delievery)- 3A flamed maple, looks darn cool, all specs are good. BUT: the necks's got no branding on the heel.

He told me the neck is unbranded by request since this neck should be used in one if his custom builds, ordered more than 1.5 years ago but never used.
I'm a bit unsure since MK don't sell necks w/o branding...

    One thing I don't understand :

Why would you go through a French Luthier you Can order directly to Musikraft ?

Best thing to do is to contact Musikraft I think.

^I've bought from adpguitarshop, I guess you'll know him since you're located in France. I've found an offer on Reverb from him and this neck with a fatter profile was the alternative. A tad cheaper than ordering directly from MK.

Often times a dealer can provide a neck for much cheaper than buying direct from the manufacturer. I buy my Allparts necks from a authorized seller and save around 50% over purchasing from Allparts direct.

Sounds like he is an "OEM" customer. I would think that they would certainly sell unbranded to these types of customers.

FWIW, my Musikraft necks have no branding on them, and I didn't even request it.

There is a guy on Ebay that sells musikraft seconds and 95% don't have a stamp. I've bought several from him. They're fine necks its just there was some flaw (superfical crack that has been epoxied) or a custom order made incorrectly to the specs requested.

Personally , I wouldn't want the branding . Anything that can lessen the single largest contact surface of a bolt on neck where it meets the body is undesirable to me .

They make/sell their unbranded necks for OEM use or at the request of individual makers. They sell some of them on eBay at times as well. My best sounding MK neck is non branding, too.

The manufacturers site sometimes has links to their authorised sellers, random guitar shops etc or there are a couple of sellers on ebay that offer new necks of a few different brands.
I like to get unfinished necks so you can roll the fretboard edges and apply your preferred finish yourself, tint to ideal color etc.
If you can find one with small dents in the headstock you can save even more and they usually end up being buried and disappearing under the finish or you can steam them out before finishing.

Not sure, but, I don't think the ebay stuff gets branded either

I have two musikraft necks, both from the early 2010s, and both are unbranded. (And they're both really great, fwiw.)
