“help Shango, our producer needs some original music for a French style cooking show.”
…this is what I got in my emails through the week.
its something my acoustic trio could write and record, no problems.

Anyone here provide music content for tv programs.?
I’d like to know how you go about it.
is there an industry format or standard for such?

for the above projects my thoughts are to provide 6 original tunes in different vibes, not too busy in melody or impro. Of about 1 to 2 mins in length.

thoughts appreciated.

The only real 'standard' is to make sure you record and export at 48khz.
Short stuff is fine but you can go longer. They'll cut it up (trust me - they will cut it up).
It's a 'positive' if you can make each piece seamlessly and easily loopable.

I've got a mate up on the central coast who was a composer in residence until he retired last year.

Not sure what suggestions he might give or even if his direction would suit.

PM. if you want more info
