    Jakedog! Buddy!

I would suggest you leave your recordding rig intact and have a separate
    road rig for yourself.

I would recommend on a musician's budget one of these:
(or two of these if you feel spicy!)

Yes, it's the Auratone C5A or the Auratone C50A.

Heck, you only need one to do a decent mix but I guess you can
buy two of them to impress your friends. They are powered studio monitors
and the difference between the two are extended frequency range on the C50A.
They are both 30 watts and give you the midrange perspective that is critical
for translation of your mix on different systems. Mine cost me 99 bucks and I"ve
used it ever since for monitoring streaming Facebook musicians and dialog.

As far as getting your FRFR bell rung, you might want to check out a few
    comparisons on Youtube.
You'll soon find that even though they all claim flat this and flat that, then
how is it they all sound different? Sorry to interject a bit of science, but
dude, it makes no sense even on crappy Youtube videos where you can
really hear a difference. Some are better suited for the guitar rig and others are
    probably better for other applications.

Anyway, that's my two cents. Two separate rigs.Thanks.

And the funny part is that I've mixed on all these speakers at one time or another.

    Super Road Cubes......OMG!

That's a real nice find Mr. Womack.
You have to know what you're looking at when out
shopping at estate sales etc. I love giving gear a new home.
