Hey folk. I bought a new MW Tele a few months ago, and really like the sound of this thing.

I was wondering if there may be some Strat equivalent sounding model out there....?

The closest thing I think would be the Robert Cray strat. It has a nice unique neck, great pickups and its also a hardtail. U ever play one of those?

EIther the RC or JV would be a good matchup to the Muddy Waters Tele .

The Jv Strat has an MIM body/neck with all USA hardware and electronics just like the MW Tele has all USA electronics and the same body as a 50's Classic Tele MIM. WHat they should make is the Jimmie Vaughan with the Robert Cray pickups cause those pickups are great!

Thanks for the comments. I had a '02 AS Hard Tail Strat...and really liked it. Never use the trem anyway.

I've got a nice American '62 RI right now, but it won't really growl, like the MW Tele.

I'll check the RC and JV models.
