Looking for an MP3 player with a large easy to read screen.

Anyone have any ideas? No Apple products please.

A tablet would provide a big screen if you don't need it to be highly portable.

I would have suggested an iTouch, which I've had for years and is an amazing device... but I guess the OP has his reasons for not wanting an Apple product.

Why no Apple products? The iPod Touch is exactly what you want. It has a big screen and accessibility settings for altering font size, inverting colours, etc.

I personally use an Internet Tablet with 500GB of space on it.
    It's a now discontinue Archos 48.
It sucks as a tablet. But holy smokes it makes one heckuva large capacity mp3 player!

Hisense Sero 7 Pro, cheap android tablet from Walmart (basically a knock off of the Nexus 7) got one for my gf and she loves it. Pro model gets a lot better reviews than the regular. I think it has 16 gb internal storage and you can expand that with sd cards.

Since they're no longer popular, I'd suggest a 10" screen netbook with your choice of music management/ playback software. You can find a used one with Win7 on ebay for about a $100 or less.

I haven't had any problems with iTunes, and I have it on multiple devices.

If you can locate one, the Zune had a fairly large and easy to use screen. Mine is still cranking along famously going on 7 years now.

I don't have iTunes, and my iPod touch works fine. Using CopyTransManager freeware.

But - there's also the Samsung Galaxy players. I think they're available with 3", 4", and 5" screens. They also have the advantage of being able to play FLAC files.

i guess you can get just about any tablet
and be happy with it if you had the right software product
    at your fingertips.

I recommend using Sports Sounds Pro or even Style Jukebox.
How big of a screen are you looking at?
I have a 24" touchscreen all in one computer.
    It's like a giant tablet!
