Best of luck! Looks like a nice place.

I personally hate moving. I’ve stayed in horrible locations just to avoid it. My apartment building changes hands at the end of August, so I smell a reno-viction in my near future (shabby building, great location). Can’t afford to buy.

Very cool looking house, I hope it all works out! Get yourself a pressure washer and you can bring back that fence between the garage and house like new.

Its all going to be worth it the first night your head hits the pillow in the new house.

I left my pressure washer at the the 5000+ square foot house that I paid for and my x-wife got.

Grrrrrrrrrr. I’ll find some gray idiot proof stain and stain it. There are some very simple improvements that I can do as simple projects and I lover serious 8 hour projects. On the immediate other side of that fence the prior owners had a hot tub that must’ve been portable enough that they took it with them and there is no lawn and there’s a gravel base where this hot tub sat on the ground. So I will have to remove that gravel and plant lawn or maybe I can bring in mulch and do something cute and I’ll make a barbecue grill area. But I do look forward to doing something. In any event I’m gonna make that fence look very beautiful because I I think it’s an eyesore right now. It’s one of the few things from the outside that I don’t like. They have lots of 14 foot Elm trees with the landscaping around the trees and like if you were walking a dog around the house you would think oh it’s cute house. But I’m not afraid of doing some work. I do appreciate the thought. When I moved in here my redwood fence looked like the first picture. I used the cheap Harbor Freight 1750 PSI pressure washer, then after it dried I sprayed it with some basic Thompson's clear water protection, and you can see the difference. But if you don't use a color stain, you have to redo it about every two years or so. I like the natural look so I didn't want to put a dark stain on it. It was amazing watching the natural wood color come out as I washed it. Actually I'm going to have to redo it in about 6 months or so, but I don't mind, it's kind of fun!

That's what I love about it, it's easy to work with, water cleanup, and doesn't make a mess. I spray it on with an HVLP sprayer. Very easy. I leave the inside of the fence alone, except for the front patio area. Just do the outside so it'll look nice to the neighbors.

Good luck. We are finishing up cleaning out my mother's house from moving her to memory care. It will be on the market by the end of the month. I have stories, but maybe in another thread.

Nice looking house, John! Good luck man! Very unique looking home. The market is crazy everywhere right now, and I don't understand why but everyone who's buying is in the same boat right now.

Screw the house, I could live in the Garage. I live the Ed Big Daddy Roth garage lifestyle. Screw the kitchen, how big is the garage. You’ve room enough for my 2 VWs, my toolboxes and my daily. Hope it works out for You.

Very cool house! And the best part is ... 3-car garage! I have one and I can't imagine going back to a 2-car.

Like the color and style. Bet inside is nice and craftsman-like. You can decorate walls with Teles! You done good!

Moving is a major stressor. I know it sounds trite, but take a couple deep breaths and crack open a cold one and realize the HARD PART is done. You found a great place and you're closing. Enjoy!

Your new house reminds me of my sister’s neighborhood in Milwaukee. Nice!
