Rapper B.o.B. has started a GoFundMe campaign to find Earth's curve and see if our planet is actually round (and not a flat disc hanging in space as flat Earthers typically believe). B.o.B.'s campaign says the plan is to "launch multiple satellites into space" in order to observe, and try to disprove, what centuries of science and technology have already confirmed. All he needs is a small investment of $200,000 dollars (and launch approval, of course).

So, the satellites we already have there isn't proof enough? LOL

Yeah the flat earthers are so in the "conspiracy" they can't even tell you why "they keep it from us!" I wanna know who "they" are and what is the benefit of knowing the earth is flat vs round? Doesn't effect me at all, but it gives me a good laugh!

It's so much easier than that. Just pick a direction, walk until you reach the end, take a selfie, and call it a day. You'll either end up where you started, and disprove your theory, or you'll reach the end, get a great picture and win the day.

unless the dragons get you, of course.

Bob's been pushing that for a couple of years

There are probably more credulous idiots around than you'd believe. Don't get me started on 'chemtrails' :)

I can't help but think he can do it for a lot less than 200,000. Flat earthers did this in London in the 70's or 80's, on a freaking shoestring. And they found they were right, to boot! What other result would they get?

Belief can be a dangerous thing.

Bob is only two entities. The evil spirit in Twin Peaks, or J.R. "Bob" Dobbs, High Epopt of the Church of the Subgenius. He needs to relinquish the name, as he's not deserving.

Maybe he's pulling the long con to get a couple hundred thousand bucks. It would have been too suspicious for him to one day just say, "yeah the Earth is flat. Give me money." But now he's credible (in the eyes of flat earthers). His plan to con some rubes out of their money is well on its way to fruition with an amazing $255 raised.

The earth isn't nearly as flat as the EEGs of B.o.B and his ilk...

I recall the flat earth society to be a tongue in cheek thing with people winking about their membership

Amazed some dumbo types have swallowed the joke and believe it

People that stupid need not be reasoned with. Sheep get sheared by shepherds: just take their money off them before another person does it

I will only fund him if he straps himself to the outside of the rocket, so he can see first hand , but of course he not to wear a space suit, just cargo shorts bumpched Tee's and a pair of goggles.

that way when he returns to earth the scientists will have a real experiment to see the effects of space travel on the human body!
