+1 on Wishbone Ash. Me and a buddy went to Ashcon 1999 in Chicago and got to meet Andy and the boys. Super nice guys. We had a blast!
The Hogs !! Been a fan since 69 and never thought they got the acclaim they deserved
So many people just think of them as 'White Punks On Dope', and are missing out on some fabulous music, like this:
Very 'trendy' to dismiss them, so they massively qualify for most underrated band seeing as actually they are Awesome!
Wake up World.
The The...one of Johnny Marr's other bands.
And Counting Crows...the stars aligned on the album August and Everything After.
What a great album!
+1 on Counting Crows - August and Everything After. The stars most definitely aligned on that one!!
Agree - saw them twice in the 70s. Superb shows.
Rockpile should have been more popular/successful, too.
Great songs, great players!
Never heard of Marillion or Prefab Sprout. Wowzers.
Personally I'd go:
Marillion - Script for a Jester's Tear
Prefab Sprout - since Steve McQueen is taken, I'll suggest Swoon and/or From Langley Park to Memphis
I'm too young for Be-Bop Deluxe
Absolutely. "Green Thoughts" is marvellous. Saw 'em at Loppen in Christiana, Copenhagen way back when (1990) - brilliant gig.
Clover and Norton Buffalo were deserving of bigger audiences, too.
and doo rag.
Nirvana, Steely Dan, Prince, Rush, U2
The Bevis Frond.
Check out how many of their records have a four star or higher rating at all music.com I’ll save you the trouble. It’s 16. Compare that to the Stones who have 19 but also more than a two decade head start.
Babe Ruth is incredible. they definitely deserve recognition.
