Don’t worry, I’ll throw some flowers at The Moz for you
This thread is the perfect example of why the internet is ruining the world. There's no point to it other than for a bunch of whiny little B*****s, who are so insecure that the only way they can feel important is to insult other people, who have the same major interests as them, let alone how they would insult those of disparate interests! I'm about ready to stop wasting my time in this forum, which used to have some interesting and informative threads, but that seems to be in the past.
A few Glastonbury headliners since 2000:
Lana Del Rey
The White Stripes
People are talking this way too seriously. I'm glad the majority are looking at this as the light hearted chance to air an unpopular opinion that it's intended to be.
I'll second the Clash. All my friends worshipped them and I'm still baffled as to what was so great about them. I've even had to play a few Clash songs over the years; although I didn't hate them I still don't get it.
As to you guys saying Kiss, as someone who was 14 when Kiss Alive I came out they were my favorite band for a period of time. I can say it wasn't about the music, it was the show that sucked my friends and I in. Gene spitting fire and blood, Ace's smoking guitar, the costumes, the fire. Yeah, we thought the music was great 'cause we didn't know any better, but so do all of Miley Cyrus's fans nowadays. Kiss was over the top at the right place at the right time for people my age, that's all it was. Without the costumes and show they'd have never gone anywhere.
And yet here you are, whining (and insulting) away with the best of them.
Well done sir!
The Captain and Tenille.
Guns ‘n Roses
Really, like how many diamonds do I need to shine on with an ‘epic’ Strat solo?
Clapton. Sorry if I offended anyone.
Steve Miller Band
Janis Joplin (Sorry!)
Joni Mitchell (Not Sorry!)
Mr. Big/Extreme/Damn Yankees etc.
The very first one that comes to mind is "Brooks and Dunn".
Honestly, I have no idea how this band could get a job let alone awards. Every single song I hear them play is always such a cartoonish version of country music that I want to scream. Unfortunately, my Supervisor listens to a country station at her desk near mine and I can't avoid hearing this miserable band on a daily basis.
“Yall are gonna hate me!”
Well, you got something right on that list.
Every band I've ever played in.
I've always disliked Supertramp.
Jeez. Lots I agree with or at least don’t take offence to. But Joni?
I agree, she is one of the most talented songwriters and singers, and really went deep into alternative tunings on guitar. She is also a great pianist and painter.
She can be a bit outspoken and I think that may rub some "men" the wrong way.
These types of threads remind me that a lot of people on forums aren't people I'd want to hang out with in real life.
