Got a few of those. I don't think in all honesty I've lasted more than 5 minutes with one on. I should probably sell them.

I'm too skeered of appearing too pretty to buy stuff just to make stuff more pretty.

I did buy ten used George L's cables to custom cut for pedal board wiring with isolated loops though.
That $100 involved much soul searching and hand wringing.

    What do you mean "on".
They get taken off for playing right?
Then you put your lit cigarette in the ash tray to avoid burning the headstock?

Pick Punch. I really don't need 150 picks punched from credit cards. I just think it's fun.

A nice strap makes sense to me.

There’s plenty dumber things out there. Like, say, the chord buddy:

Sorry, meant on the bridge, well half on, when I didn't have a clue what they were to be honest.

All this stuff going on an epiphone frampton to make it look like a normal 3 pickup BB.
The gold strings especially strike me as trivial.

It's nice to come across someone else that used one. And here I thought I was special.

I bought a Fender Super Champ XD about ten years ago, I've actually used it twice. For some odd reason, every time I think about getting rid of it, my wife says. You aren't thinking about getting rid of the little Fender amp are you? No dear.

The completely unnecessary Fender thermometer case that I will likely preorder.

Important caveat: I didn't buy it, it was a thoughtful gift from a non-musician girlfriend. My most frivolous guitar accessory is an Intex Cable. It's beautiful, but it's heavy and stiff, and mine shorted out...and the customer service experience trying to get it repaired under the "lifetime warranty" was one of the worst I've ever had, of any sort, with any business.

    Hmm...

Tusq string tree. Seemed legit at the time. Still waiting for the increased sustain, stability, and tonal improvements claimed by the seller (cricket sounds).

Mastery string tree to match my fancy mastery bridge. Embarrassed by that one, but it did look cool (on another guy’s guitar).

Stainless slotted screw set to go on my American Standard. As if the 3 hole bridge didn’t fool you into thinking it was a 50s era guitar, please observe my slotted screw set! Tricked absolutely no one (including me).

Strings ....don’t get me started on the stupid stuff I fell for over the years regarding string sets. I must have dumped a small fortune into that rabbit hole...if Monty Python had been searching for the holy grail of guitar strings, I’d be in that script fo sho!

I don't mean to derail, but how do you like that Trem? I've been looking at one for my LP Deluxe. Does the guitar still fit in a case okay?

Yes, it still fits in it's case. It does what it is supposed to do very well, without knocking the guitar out of tune. It took, at most, about 10 minutes to install, not counting the time to string back up.

I sprung for a nice $120 clip on right before snark made them affordable. Still have it...worth about $10?

I bought the EHX Cntl knob as I thought it was a great idea. I haven’t used it once.

Y’all remember that thing called a “Fatfinger”?
It attached to your headstock and was basically a weight.
The implied benefit was that it added sustain.
A friend of mine worked at our LGS and tried to talk me into buying one.
    I questioned his loyalty.

:D How much you want for it? I sold mine real cheap to a friend at school, after I got my first "real" amp. I have sometimes second-guessed that decision.
