i met ralph maccio he is easily over 6 feet. why does a tele dwarf him?
Because the devil went down to Georgia....
Few errors in his comments. He points out, "the knobs, barrel switch, and brass saddles" are right on the PV52. Aside from the barrel switch they were exactly the same on the AV52. Those are the difference Fender should have highlighted. Because he is just reading a script right? He totally misses the big changes between the AV52 and PV52. Then he goes on to say the PV64 has a slab fretboard. Wrong.
John 5 is a great player and I love the make up! I was always into moster movies.
I have begun to suspect that getting in a flame war on an internet forum makes you look like an ass clown. Turning the other cheek is even more admirable when you are an anonymous poster on an internet forum.
I would love to sit down and have a guitar lesson or jam session with anybody pictured in this thread, and almost every person that has posted in this thread.
This has my vote too.
One of my all-time favorite movies.
This guy is the goofiest:
Maybe, but it's a good kinda goofy.
Why are people losing sleep over John5?
I'll show you goofy!
Probably the most significant achievement of J5 is that he is bridging a generation gap. Younger people who are into the Marilyn Manson/Shock Rock thing are getting exposure to a completely different genre of music, and older people who wouldn't go near younger music otherwise are giving him praise for his playing. Not many artists have been able to successfully accomplish this.
Who YOU callin' old, whippersnappah!
You got three years on me, Pops. Now git outta my face before I take away your cane.
If you're playing rock and roll and aren't at least a little bit foolish/silly/flamboyant, you're not doing it right.
I know this guy who'll be 70 this year.
What a goof with his "look at me" getup. Who's this geezer fooling?
(by geezer I mean icon of rock)
Wait until this guys out there on the "scene":
Here is another metal head with a Tele. Though he put EMGs in his so the Tele name is a bit suspect...
sweet nehru jacket bro
Blimey - we really ARE scraping the barrell with threads like this.
In the world's greatest Telecaster Forum, admired and revered everywhere, we must be getting pretty desperate (or bored) if we need to dream up "Most foolish looking Tele player" as a subject for debate. It was destined to go belly-up from the off - and it hasn't disappointed.
To quote an old cliche, wouldn't your time be better spent practicing your playing?
