Here he is with his wife. What a fool!
You judge a man by his wife?
I judge people based on a number of things, the company they keep being one them. Anyway, all I was implying is that he's not foolish looking in this picture. Clearly he isn't constantly out in public all made up like a zombie. It's just a stage costume.
Absolutely, so saying it looks funny shouldn't be offensive, to anyone.
AFAIC, J5 can dress however he wants as long as he keeps playing.
Big difference between funny and foolish.
Causing laughter or amusement; humorous.
comical - comic - amusing - droll - humorous - odd
(of a person or action) Lacking good sense or judgment; unwise.
Silly; ridiculous: "he'd been made to look foolish".
fatuous - daft - absurd - crazy - senseless - idiotic
There's also a difference between "looking" foolish and "being" foolish.
The title of the thread isn't "Who is the most foolish Tele Player".
To change the subject slightly:
Making a living doing music in this day and age is a major achievement. Getting the respect of rock veterans and up-and-comers alike is a major achievement.
Pissing on it from the anonymity of a guitar forum without even checking your spelling = not a major achievement.
Which is why John 5 has all those gigs and you don't. And why John 5 gets even more gigs and you don't. Have you figured it out yet?
Making a successful living doing something you love? That's extremely cool, and something 90% of people in this world can't claim.
Sure thing. Have fun sitting in Mommy's basement.
This dude looks outlandish and is a tele player of some repute.
Sure .... people like clowns.
No, there isn't. Foolish is foolish. And to call people out for being "foolish" is a put-down.
As I said earlier:
Now I feel foolish .....
........ Er, Is that the same as looking or being foolish?
I guess so, foolish is foolish, after all.
now, THAT'S funny!
I hope it's true!
My only complaint with J5 is that I once looked at one of his videos that had some VERY disturbing images in it...ones that I have never forgotten.
I'm pretty sure I saw people dying violent deaths.
This made me lose respect for the guy.
But that's just me.
For the record...I don't care how he dresses or applies makeup, but when I'm watching a video in order to hear a tune and/or check out someone's chops and I see a dude getting electrocuted, it kind of pisses me off.
You talking about yourself.
I think a famous intellect once said: Foolish is as Foolish does!
So ................. I guess I'm not immune from having moments of foolishness!
I wear cowboy boots every day, and a cowboy hat ocasionally. Most times I wear a ball cap sporting some logo (my company, Ranger Bass Boats, etc.).
I don't feel foolish, but I must be. I read it on the internet.
So how do you move a post to TGP again?
Unknown Hinson - he just quit the road and I saw one of his last shows. Boy am I glad I did too, he killed.
I didn't go to the show for the gag, but if he worn plain jeans and a t-shirt would I have had less fun? Actually, yes.
Guess so, unless you use cows for bait?
