No, you don't know.
J5 does hang his hat here sometimes... it would be a shame... if he had to see this.
This pretty much sums it up.
I like the guy,his playing and his collection. How he dresses doesn't bother me I mean it's his life. As long as he keeps making sweet Telecaster love I'm on board with whatever he wants to dress in I found him on youtube when I had my first Tele for like a year and was so jealous of this mans talent and collection
Oops, I own all his albums and instructional DVD, and never did I realise he was foolish.
Serves me to not judge a book by its cover.
Hey what about those guys playing country? I mean really.....hats?
I see a guy who loves the Telecaster and works incredibly hard so he can share that love with others.
What do you see?
I guess after a certain age, stuff like that does look "foolish" just like the kids who wear their pants down to their knees lol.
Yup. Kinda like it is really hard to take you as a serious poster.
More than likely, a serious poser...
Now he plays for Rob Zombie so the make-up is actually more appropriate than the banjo rolls and behind the nut bends he likes to play. I really like the way he mixes the pickin with the heavier rock stuff on his solo records. Check out tunes like S-Lot, Ya Dig?, and Steel Guitar Rag.
He looks like a cross between the Crow, Joker and Adam Ant ... Call it cool if you like, but if someone wants to call his look "foolish" ...... What's in a word?
I think he looks "silly" .... The same way as a clown looks cool for his job, but silly on the street.
Having a nice Tele wouldn't make me look cool with a banana in each ear.
I'm sure he's a great player and a nice guy ... But he looks like a sad clown...... That's not opinion .... It's fact.
I'd rather hang out with John 5 than Brad Paisley anytime.
Really, when's the last time some of these "Country" artists were within 100 yards of a real live cow?
Well, dad gum-golly, dat boy DO have chicken in his bones!
I just think that is his act, his schtick. Like Alice Cooper did his thing or even David Bowie. Trying to be outrageous. It's all show biz.
John 5 is a fine guitar player. I have seen him in interviews and he seems like a decent fellow. He must be interesting because we have 2 pages of people talking mostly about him.
Mate, there's a thread on American Idol with 700+ posts. ..........!
Well, in all fairness, they're Musicians playing Country music, not Cowboys.
This thread is like putting three women in a room together. Two of them will make friends and start picking on the third. But, two by themselves will become friends.
No doubt John 5 is a very good guitarist. It's his talent in music that allows him to design his appearance in a total freedom. And still, if some think he looks like a clown, I see absolutely no reason why a clown shouldn't be taken seriously. This discussion is pointless.
Brad Paisley seems like a cool dude too.
