Valencia - imagine a 22nd century space port, just a short walk away from beautiful, winding mediaeval streets. A lovely city with a history stretching back 2,000 years...

Not very exotic but this is Pilat which is the largest sand dune in Europe. Just lots of people walking about going ooh this is big ( or ooh c’est grand).

My daughter spent 10 months in Japan as part of her degree course and we visited for two weeks. Loved every minute — it is the most amazing place.

Lived there on a sailboat in 2003-2005 when I had way more $$$ than I do now.

I don't know if any of the places we've been to are 'exotic,' per se. WE usually just go to cities and explore. So far we've been to

    Montreal
    Halifax
    Toronto
    Brussels
    Amsterdam
    Vienna
    Budapest

and various cities in the US which are even less exotic.

During the time I spent in Belize on Turneffe Island the day we were supposed to go to the Blue Hole, the ocean was just too rough. :(

I do remember the early days of Stingray City though and a night drift dive through the caves off Cozumel's Palancar reef was certainly memorable.

And what' you failed to mention is that it's a huge sculpture park full of statues that are mostly just as weird as that one...

    Perspective .
Everyone of these places is very common to those that lives there just as our own back yards are to us .
I have done some traveling but no place that I will ever be can come close to the dreams that I have had . So exotic that pictures can't be taken of them and that is so for everyone on the Earth .

Well dont want to sound show but I have back packed everywhere I have ever wanted to go...and most places at least twice:) Paragliding in Guatemala, 6 x Himalayas, Mexico, Rio in Brazil and Australia. Hitched west coast of Africa twice, Nicaragua, Cost Rica, Belize, Panama and Honduras. Circumnavigated India 4 times on trains and buses. Drove bottom to top of Australia in an old camper BUT lately been over to West Coast of Ireland mostly for Uilleann Pipe lessons....a break from the Telecaster! zzzzz sorry! Now happy just to travel to wild places...the few that are left close to were I live in Somerset, UK. So now its the Hebrides off North West Scotland to watch Eagles and Whales, West Ireland for the music, and Exmoor for fishing and paragliding:)
