I am glad they are back but, repeats in the first week? Thank you MeTV, you had me with morning cartoons... Grew up watching them in the 1960's. They will be on shortly.

It played up here on Canadian TV as well. I never understood why parts were cut out when watching a US broadcast. As an adult, I still don't understand why the Sons Of Anarchy can't say 'f***', but can show rapes, immolation, stabbings, etc.

This is what kids watch these days, on their tablet, not on TV.

Cartoons are for adults, and always have been, IMHO... And, yes, the internet is much more informative and enabling then television ever tried to be.

Make no mistake though. Ryan is a very rich kid thanks to his product endorsements to his huge viewer base. Last Christmas, I gave him a good chunk of change buying gifts for my nephews. Everybody today wants their kid to be an "influencer".

    Who is "they"? Your kids?
My daughter, nieces, nephews never had any interest in American narcissism.
She grew up on cartoons like Gravity Falls that are far beyond the cartoons we old people knew.
Believing the best cartoons were Bugs Bunny is perfectly in line with old men thinking music stopped being good in 1979.

Hmmm, I wonder if I can pull Me in? Oh well, I've got to be careful not to cut into my forum time, gym time, not to mention bird feeder watchingo_O.

BTW, YouTube Kids app prevents them from getting to this stuff. YouTube had a big legal thing a couple of years ago about kids accessing "inappropriate" material. Content creators have to follow strict guidelines in order to be available on YouTube Kids. A lot of creators griped about it but others, like Ryan's parents, seized on it as an opportunity to print money.

Now, once you let the kids out of the gated garden as they hit their teen years, that's when it gets dicey.

There is a difference between animated sitcoms and cartoons.

Man, I’m so lucky I got to grow up watching Saturday morning cartoons like The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show, Woody Woodpecker, etc.

I sometimes say, “That’s a joke, son” or “Ain’t I a stinker?” if my colleagues miss a joke during meetings.

Have they shown Crusader Rabbit yet? Might have to dump cable for OTA again.
