Some would say, just enough.
But most say what you just did.
All I can really say here, is that I have a veryyyyyy good and talented amp guru, he picks up my amps, works on them at his place, and has them back to me in a week or less....delivered. He also demos the amps with me to make sure problem is resolved, and often times, the amps are significantly better.
Keeping this one all to myself.
This is a different situation, but ok.
He put me in a good mood... Had me laughing about some Billy Gibbons amp with an embedded peso and a picture of a naked woman, I think... I don't hold a grudge, but I still need the amp, of course...
I jest of course. Be clear when I said I want to see the curtain fall that my best hope is that there will be multiple positive encores. I am definitely a glass is 2/3 full kinda guy.
I doubt anyone here has any ill wishes for the guy-I sure don't.
Not on this thread.Apparently there was another thread that wasn't so kind.
Folks have mentioned Bertrand Russell, Nietzsche, and others. Why not Freud? I love this slip for "François Villon." Or maybe it wasn't a Freudian slip? At any rate, François Villon was, in fact, a villain. The wiki page on this late medieval French poet says that he was a "ne'er-do-well who was involved in criminal behavior and had multiple encounters with law enforcement authorities..." We have another character for our cast...
LMAO! I was too lazy to look up the actual spelling, because it wasn't worth my time.
I just typed and that's what came out!
Much built me a one-off supro 6424T head with some tweaks.
the build went long--but he DID come through in spades. keep the faith.
to me the bottom line in customer satisfaction boils down to:
would they do the score again after the product arrives?
i would. not just on price, but also on build quality from a tech who took on a project that he didn't really wanna do to help me out.
[i hadda do some kinda wheedling to get the build agreed to in the first place.]
guess my confidence in his work can best be proven by a recent score of another of his amps from a forum member 'coulpla weeks ago.
i was so worried if the amp could be substandard that i haven't even opened the box yet. do hope to this weekend, but this time of year they want me to live @ workplace.com. also got a good feeling about the unnamed tdpri member by some of the bad company he keeps....
need to burn some watts soon and get a good endorsement printed up for him, also.
sorry Much, i have been busier than a two tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs with OT at work, and hay season here yet again. made time when i read all the above bad press this eve. wifey no be happy now that dinner's cold.
wanted to get involved since last sunday when i first read thread back 'bout page nine but chronos has conspired against me.
I have way too many amps and not enough money, but this thread makes me want to have him build me something even more.
I had PM'd about maybe a Morpheus build in an old Marshall Lead 12 chassis/ cab. He also offered to build me a Trainwreck during another thread where I mentioned some characteristics I wanted from an amp.
So many options and I don't know what I'd want the most, so can't decide.
Don't really want to join another forum...
I would like to know what makes it so clear?
I did read all the posts ( of this thread ) before posting my comment.
How can someone makes his mind without doing so?
But in this thread. I repeat, nothing seems overbord still.
Hoping this comes out alright. I don't know Much except by reputation but thumbs up if he does you solid.
So...I gotsta know...did you get the amp???
The amp should be on its way as we speak. I believe it was shipped out Friday, Saturday, or today. Don't know off hand.
I'll ask Eric today if I can get a hold of him.
I told you guys it would be shipped out at the end of last week. It can't get there instantly sadly.
Yeah, if only we had transporters.
Not to mention replicators..
Here's the Princeton Reverb he did for me. I also have one of his 5f1 builds. That black knob is concentric with treble and bass, he added a mid control and made it a twin style tone stack that makes it go from twin clean to tweed knarly at the turn of a knob. While he had it, he got a bought of pneumonia that took him down for about 3 or 4. Between mine and everyone else's, he played catch up for another few. He actually called me once apologizing on the delay and sent it with my tubes back AND another full set of NOS tubes in their original boxes!!! I'm a very satisfied customer. Eric will not disappoint.
