If it's as good as their combos is it worth that?

Looks like a winner to me. They sold a ton of their combos and are highly rated, so I’m gonna put my money on this one being a winner. I don’t have any need for that kinda power or I might try one.

Three industry standard 12AX7 tubes drive the preamp and reverb sections

Tube generated reverb? If so, I'm already impressed.

Looks like a take on The VOX AC30.

I've never played a Monoprice but from all the discussions I've seen here, it seems standard to take a $300 amp and replace all the tubes and speaker right away.

There's a lot of great amps out there for $500 already.

    Maybe this one is different.

    30 watts of tube power? I don't think that's a "bedroom" amp.

The $600 price tag is also a turnoff for me. That's getting close enough to save another $500 or so and get something really nice, like a Matchless SC Mini or Vox AC15.

Plenty of used choices available for that amount of cash. Monoprice just does not inspire me.

I'd like to hear it. It's a interesting option for those of us who can't ( or don't want to) afford a $1200 amp.

    It’s a Laney VC30 clone.
